Mechanical Engineer / Technologist
Do you enjoy working with a variety of clients on small design projects, translating the clients’ visions into functional designs? Our Mechanical Engineer / Technologist creates product designs and conducts product development work to deliver sound, economical solutions to technical problems.
Position requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- A registered professional with APEGGA / ASET or eligibilty to become registered.
- Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical and product / equipment design or related work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with the following would be definite assets:
- ASME Code for pressure vessel design.
- Strong design skills will be combined with an ability to balance a practical and creative approach with the solution of complex technical problems.
- Knowledge of stress calculations and finite element analysis.
- 3D modeling (preferably with Inventor / AutoCAD).
- Client relationship management and project leadership.
